Die Erzählung
Mount Fuji, at 3,776 metres, is the highest mountain in Japan.
It has long been an object of worship, with Sengen shrines at its foot.
In 2013 it was listed as UNESCO World Heritage as a 'sacred place and source of artistic inspiration'.
A torii is the gate at the entrance of a Shinto shrine.
