Die Erzählung
Stonehenge is a monument of great stones on Salisbury Plain in southern England.
Excavation shows it was built in several stages from around 3000 BC.
Its stones are aligned to the sunrise and sunset of the summer and winter solstices.
It was listed as UNESCO World Heritage in 1986.
