Die Erzählung
Guan Yu was a general of Shu Han at the end of the Later Han, recorded in the Records of the Three Kingdoms.
He is widely known for his loyalty to Liu Bei and Zhang Fei.
After his death he was worshipped as a god, called Guandi, with shrines across China and East Asia.
The green-dragon glaive and the long beard are the long custom for depicting him.
