Cheongun was the person in charge of rites to the sky in the Samhan states.
The name appears in the Dongyi section of the Wei history in the Records of the Three Kingdoms.
The same record says the separate settlement where rites were held was called sodo.
The link between sotdae poles and sodo has several readings and is not settled.
